Puppies are always up to date on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention and are given a bath, nails are trimmed and ears are cleaned before joining their new family (time of pick up permitting). All puppies are sent home with a puppy pack with some food, treats, a leash, health records, health certificate and much more!
Puppies do require another round of vaccines at 10-11, 12-13 and 15-16 weeks of age as well as deworming on a regular basis and monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative.

SUPERNOVA ENGLISH LABRADORS PUPPY HEALTH GUARANTEE
PUPPIES ARE CURRENTLY PRICED AT $2500-$3500 FOR FAMILY COMPANIONS DEPENDING ON THE QUALITY OF THE PUPPY AND THE PEDIGREE
This Labrador puppy is priced at $__________. This would include a $500.00 deposit due at the time of reservation. This includes $150.00 which will be collected for taxes, health certificate, final AKC Limited Registration and AKC Reunite Microchip enrollment. The remaining balance of $________ is due before, or at the time that, the owner or transporter takes possession of the puppy. The deposit is non-refundable but applicable to any Labrador that is available for up to 18 months from original submission.
Age Requirement and Holding Your New Labrador - Any Labrador over 8 weeks old, who has had its final evaluation; veterinary examination, and a health certificate issued, will be ready to join its new family immediately. Though early placement is best, especially during this critical developmental age, we are happy to hold the puppy for an additional 10 days past initial reservation/purchase at no additional cost in order to arrange pick-up or transportation. If you require the puppy to stay with me for a longer period of time, the puppy must be paid for in advance and an additional boarding fee of $7.50 per day will apply for days 11-21. Past 20 days the purchase is considered terminated unless other arrangements have been agreed upon.
Twenty-Four Month Genetic Health Guarantee - This Labrador is covered for a period of 24 months, from the date of birth, for any genetic issues that would require ongoing veterinary care, regular treatment and prevent your dog from living a normal and pain free life. This guarantee :
Does not transfer to any new owner.
Does not cover issues due to : Physical injury; excessive weight gain/obesity; digestion of large amounts of food/water or objects that cause intestinal issues; chronic or standard infections; allergies; swellings and other reactions due to external or internal parasites.
Does not cover corrective procedures for : Retained testicles or tooth/bite misalignment corrections. These are rare issues that the environment can contribute to, and we are not able to tell the future and determine if they will be present. These will not impact the ability of your Labrador to be a wonderful family companion.
The Labrador has not been neutered or spayed before the age of 12 months of age.
Neutering prior to their first year of age disrupts proper hormonal processes. Removing the hormone generating organs of the body so early in age will impact other essential growth processes. There is an increased risk of incontinence; aggressive cancers; orthopedic disease; cruciate rupture, cardiac hemangiosarcoma; increased obesity; thyroid issues; negative reactions to vaccines; anxiety and aggression.
Is not valid if your Labrador has been allowed to reproduce.
In all suspected orthopedic issues, correctly positioned films (in digital form preferred) must be forwarded to us, by your veterinarian, before being evaluated by OFA. If positioning is correct, films must be submitted to OFA for official diagnostic purposes only. Please keep in mind that we have experienced many situations where panosteitis (growing pains), and other issues, have been misdiagnosed as dysplasia or a degenerative joint disease, even by clinic professionals.
The original Labrador must be returned to Supernova Labradors before a new puppy will be provided as soon as one of equal, or better, is available that matches the owners requirements.
Please contact me first if you have any health concerns about your Labrador. Not only would I like to be kept informed as to any health issues, especially as they pertain to genetics, but I can provide guidance which may save you time and money.
Non-Reproduction Agreement - This Labrador Retriever puppy has been evaluated and has been found to be a pet quality puppy and reproduction would not be beneficial to the breed. Allowing reproduction would not be beneficial to the breed, would be detrimental to our reputation and would go against this placement agreement. It is agreed that you will not allow this Labrador to reproduce under any circumstances. If this Labrador is allowed to reproduce we will take legal action.
Lifetime Placement Assistance - If you are no longer able to keep or house your Labrador, we will take it back, regardless of age or condition, and locate a loving home. The owner agrees that this Labrador will never be euthanized and will not be surrendered to any organization or individual as a “rescue”. You agree that if you decide to re-home this Labrador without my assistance that you will screen the home fully and do your part to protect its future well-being and ensure it will not reproduce. You agree that you are purchasing this Labrador for yourself. Not purchasing this Labrador for intentional resale, re-homing or breeding or any kind.
Agreeing to Proper Care - This puppy will be given a complete veterinary exam, a fecal test with negative result, be dewormed by our veterinarian and issued a health certificate stating it is in excellent health before joining your family. You agree that you will provide this Labrador with the required and ongoing veterinary care; vaccinations and parasite control to ensure it remains healthy. That it will be provided with fresh water; quality food and a climate controlled home that will provide love, proper socialization, attention and safety as well as emergency veterinary care if needed.
You agree, as caring Labrador owners, that you will not take additional risks with your puppy which can promote and contribute to the onset of genetic orthopedic issues. You agree to feed a quality food that is moderate in protein. Please keep in mind that herbicide residues (commonly used on corn) and soy (especially GM soy) can mimic estrogen and cause hormonal imbalance. We recommend and feed TLC Whole Life Food because it has no corn, soy, wheat or any other grains and is as close to being free of genetic modifications as we could find without the price tag. Labrador puppies should be switched from Puppy Food to Adult Food at 4 months of age to slow growth which helps maintain healthy joints and prevent orthopedic issues. You will need to feed your Labrador puppy AT LEAST twice a day (three times is better), and at regular intervals for regulated protein absorption.
IF YOU REMAIN ON TLC WHOLE LIFE FOOD THROUGH 12 MONTHS OF AGE, WE WILL EXTEND YOUR HEALTH CERTIFICATE FOR ANOTHER FULL YEAR.
Repossession and Return - I, or a representative, have the right to repossess this canine if I have proof that the Labrador has been abused; neglected or mistreated mentally or physically; is in any way in physical danger or in need of immediate veterinary care or proper housing. The owner will be responsible for all expenses related to the repossession and physical seizure of the Labrador; transportation; legal fees and veterinary costs. Accidents happen but willful neglect is not tolerated. In all cases of repossession, sale or physical return the owner agrees to provide signed AKC registration papers, or a statement, turning sole ownership over to Alayne Rae Mullen.
All Questions or Concerns Pertaining to Your Labrador - All general questions about your puppies well being; training and care should be directed to us but we are not veterinarians. We will always do our best to assist you through our personal experiences, but if there are health concerns about your puppy, as it pertains to their health certificate, that must be addressed veterinarian to veterinarian only to obtain the best results and understanding.
